BJC Health System has been informed of a phishing scam in which a company, posing as BJC Health System, has asked candidates for personal information with the promise of a career or interview opportunity. Those responsible for this phishing scam have put some effort into making communications appear legitimate. Please note that BJC Health System does not ask for any personal information, such as a driver's license number, social security number, financial information, etc. or ask for any additional application be downloaded prior to a candidate accepting an offer of employment. Congratulations to Barnes-Jewish Hospital and St. Louis Children's Hospital on earning the highest designation of "LGBTQ+ Health Care Equality Leader" in the Human Rights Campaign Foundation's (HRC) Health Care Equality Index through 2023. The Health Care Equality Index is the nation's foremost benchmarking survey of health care facilities on policies and practices dedicated.

BJC HealthCare has three Magnet-designated facilities in Missouri and the only facilities in the St. Louis metro area: Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Memorial Hospital Belleville, Memorial Hospital Shiloh, Missouri Baptist Medical Center and St. Louis Children's Hospital.
Magnet designation was developed by the American Nurses Credentialing Center to designate health care organizations showing quality patient care, nursing excellence and innovations in professional nursing practice.

BJC HealthCare has received 47 5-star awards from Professional Research Consultants (PRC).
The 5-Star award designation is given annually to health care facilities that score in the top ten percent (at or above the 90th percentile) of PRC's national client database for the prior calendar year. It is based on the percentage of hospital patients who rate the facility "excellent" for the Overall Quality of Care question.
Ten "Overall Top Performer" awards were given to BJC HealthCare.
An "Overall Top Performer" is awarded only to those providers who, according to the survey results, have received a ranking at or above the 100th percentile for Overall Quality of Care

Seventeen charities near and dear to the heart of nominating BJC team members will receive a share of the annual BJC Gives Back program to support local, grassroots non-profit health and human service agencies. The seventeen recommended organizations receive donations ranging from $500 to $3,500. On average, more than 100 team members submit deserving nominations annually, which are then evaluated by the St. Louis Community Foundation.
